How To Instructions:

TO REPORT A WATER LINE BREAK OR

WATER TURNED ON: NEW CUSTOMERS
IF YOU ARE A RENTER:
1.  Effective as of August 13th 2015, any new application for water service at a property that is leased must be made by the Owner of the property thereafter. No tenant will be allowed to apply for or receive water service in their own name. Properties for which a tenant is receiving water service in the tenant's name, as of the foregoing date, may continue to receive water service in the tenant's name, until the lease that is in effect as of the foregoing date expires, is terminated, or is renewed; at which time the Owner shall place the water service in the Owner's name.

IF YOU ARE A HOMEOWNER:

Provide PROOF OF OWNERSHIP
[Deed/Realtor Sales Contract/Abstract]

3. Submit to Devil's Kitchen Water District office for processing.
4. Paper work is processed and water is turned on within 24 hours or with prior notification on a specific date.

 

WATER TURNED ON: AFTER BEING SHUT OFF
RENTERS AND HOMEOWNERS:
Water will be restored when the ENTIRE balance of both past due and current amounts are paid plus the following shutoff service fees:
$50.00 will be charged the first time service is shut off.
$75.00 will be charged the second time service is shut off within a 12 month period.
$100.00 will be charged the third time and any subsequent times that service is shut off within a 12 month period.

After a 12 month period has passed with no shutoffs, the customer will start back at the $50.00 fee and begin a new 12 month period.

WATER TURNED OFF:
IF YOU ARE A RENTER:
1. Pay any outstanding water bills that your deposit will not cover.
2.

TELEPHONE/FAX/EMAIL with the desired shut off date.

3. Provide a forwarding address. [REQUIRED]
4. Paper work is processed and water is turned OFF within 24 hours or with prior notification on a specific date.
5. Any remaining deposit will be mailed to you.

IF YOU ARE A HOMEOWNER:

3. Provide a forwarding address. [REQUIRED]
4. Paper work is processed and water is turned OFF within 24 hours or with prior notification on a specific date.

PROPERTY OWNER TRANSFER
IF YOU ARE A HOMEOWNER:
1. FILL OUT --Transfer Form [Downloadable-36 kb PDF]
2. Submit to Devil's Kitchen Water District office with proof of ownership [deed, abstract, Realtor's contract] for processing.
3. Paper work is processed and water is transferred within 24 hours or with prior notification on a specific date.

NEW SERVICE [TAP APPLICATION]
IF YOU ARE A PROPERTY OR HOMEOWNER:
1. FILL OUT --New Service [Tap Application]

2. Short tap $1200.00 Long Tap (bore) $1800.00 for 3/4" meter 
3. Submit to Devil's Kitchen Water District office with proof of ownership [deed, abstract, Realtor's contract] for processing.
4. Paper work is processed and installation of a new tap will be scheduled.
5. You will be billed time and materials for installation costs.
